A bitter pill to swallow

It's a shame that the US women's team was plagued with falls and mis-steps this evening during the gymnastics finals. It's a shame that Alicia Sacramone had such a hard night.

I can't imagine giving up your childhood, training every day to endure such pressure on the world stage only to come up short...by mere tenths of a point.

It must be a much more bitter pill to swallow when your competitors beat you by questionable methods.
