We had to be at the hospital at 6:30, which meant leaving at 6:00am.
Bryan and I got up early, showered, ate a quick bowl of cereal and then whisked her straight from her bed to the car, still in her jammies.
Once at the hospital, we checked in and then had to wait until 8:00am for the recovery nurses to come on shift, so Evie spent a lot of time running around in the play room.

Finally, at 8:05am, they whisked her away to the operating room.
Approximately 10 minutes later, the doctor strolled out to the waiting room to tell us he was done and that she would be out shortly. Another 10 minutes, and she was being wheeled out on a little bed, very groggy and sad.

I picked her up and they did one final check of vitals before telling us we could take her home. It was 8:45 am, and we were out the door!
We came home and she went back to sleep for most of the morning; she woke up around 2pm and has been playing happily since then.
We'll keep her home tomorrow, just to keep her away from daycare germies for a day, and then we'll be back to the real world.

Isn't it crazy! With Maddox too, most of the time was spent waiting. He didn't wake up well though and screamed in the recovery room and the entire way home, with a rough day after that. Over a year since the tubes and only one ear infection!
