We made the annual trip up to Lake Wenatchee this weekend for Bryan's continued birthday celebration. He had a few extra vacation days that needed to be used up, so he took Friday off. We therefore went down into Wenatchee first, before making our way up to the lake. We stopped at Mike and Nancy's for a little lunch, then went over to see Grandma Janet's new house, and finally, made a quick visit at Auntie Jonna's before we headed up into the mountains.
Upon arrival at the cabin, we bundled Evie up and placed safely in the pack n' play while we got a fire started and the water pump going etc., etc. (It was in the low 40s inside the cabin.)
Our good friends Chris and Melissa joined us that evening, and we enjoyed a weekend of cutthroat Scrabble and Clue, yummie breakfasts, and lots of Oktoberfest fun.
We spent a few hours in Leavenworth on Saturday to participate in their annual Oktoberfest celebration, but it proved all too crazy for Steph and Evie. Saturday night, Auntie Jonna and Uncle Chuck drove their new motorcycle up and joined us all for a dinner of Steph's homemade Lasagna. Auntie Jonna also brougt up a Kahlua Cream pie, which is a Scott family favorite, but something we can't find on our side of the mountains.
Finally, we spent this morning trying to get a family photo, including the dogs. This is a task certainly difficult to undertake. We were victorious, although a bit tired from it all in the end.
All in all, it was a wonderful trip, and we plan on going back up very soon.
