Three Weeks Old

Evie turned 3 weeks old today. To celebrate the event, we went to urgent care as her umbilical cord fell off partially and started bleeding all over, which meant there was a risk for infection. It turned out all was okay, and the doc just cleaned her up and in so doing, removed the remaining umbilical stump and put on some antibiotic ointment. When she did that, the bleeding subsided, so we should be okay.
In other news, Bryan had to fly to LA today for the week, so Evie and I are going to grandma's in Wenatchee. We're hoping to see the sun, since it's been MIA here in Gig Harbor.

You've all survived the first 3 weeks. Way to go! Evie keeps getting cuter and cuter!! Glad you're enjoying her so much (and still finding time for frequent blog updates!).

She's so cute, even when she's crying!

Congratulations, Steph. Kyra steered me to your blog. Evie is a doll! I'm so happy for you and Bryan.

Steph,

Auntie Carolyn says Evie is just as cute as Maggie Jane! Now that's cute!

Steph and Brian, Evie is beautiful! What a blessing! So glad you are doing well. Grandma Nancy has been keeping me updated so it was great to get on the blog and see all the pictures. Even the Long Family - makes me feel way old!! Know you are loved and enjoy each day :)
Blessings,
Nyla

I just realized I spelled Bryan's name with an "i." My apologies - I know better. Remember that "way old" comment? No excuses but stuff like this starts to happen more when you pass the half century age marker :)
