Headline News...

If you have watched the news in the past couple of days, you will know that our very own Gig Harbor made headline news. Of course, it wasn't because the town is so beautiful, rather it was because we've been infected w/ West Nile Virus. A couple who live close to us have been diagnosed, so now we all have to be ever vigilant about using bug spray and wearing sleeves. The sleeve thing won't be a big issue as the high at our house today was a whopping 58 degrees!
In other news, we can't eat spinach either. To me however, this is no big loss. I've always been a little bit suspect of bagged greens.
Here at the Scott house, we sit with baited breath. I interviewed for a job Monday, and had not heard anything since. I assumed that I didn't get the job and subsequently went again on-line and began sumitting more job applications. However, at 4:15 this afternoon, I received a call from the Asst. Principal at the school where I interviewed, who informed me that they are still in process of making a decision, and I am still "in the hunt."
So I sit and wait, looking for more jobs, hoping something will soon come to fruition.
I applied to be a sub, but have now twice been bumped for my processing interview. I'm trying not to feel discouraged, but I really need to be working. This sitting around the house thing has become very old.
